During December of 1972, Dave Capps and his father, Sam Capps, started a single location in Dallas, TX to provide another option for car rental customers. The two-man team ran the business operations together. Due to the great customer response over the following years, the number of locations increased to five locations in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. Expansion soon followed with additional offices in other Texas cities such as Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and El Paso. New offices were opened outside the state of Texas in Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Utah. The number of staff members to help provide the support to meet our customer’s needs also increased. Our valued customers and dedicated staff have helped Capps grow over the many, many years.
Today, with a smaller footprint, Capps a Texas-based company continues to serve customers nationwide through our operations in Texas and Oklahoma. Our Capps family now consists of a dedicated staff, many of whom have been with Capps for an average of 18 years. Capps has experienced success in evolving to serve and meet the needs of the truck rental industry. But, be assured we will not change our commitment to customer service. During the last 10+ years, Capps has been successful in the truck rental industry and is now able to serve both the general public and commercial business customers with great service at a value. Capps maintains a large selection of current-year model Full Size 15 Passenger Vans and Cargo Vans to provide travelers with dependable vans to travel in comfort. We serve individuals, churches, schools, and local governments to transport their groups. Individuals use our vans for families/personal vacations or their special family trips.
